So, here's another stab at it...<br /><br />My four year old was sitting in my lap the other night and said, "Daddy, we're a puzzle that God puts together." You know, that's prettying good theology. Who doesn't love putting puzzles together? Of course, the 25 piece ones are more my speed. We take all the pieces out, turn them up and start looking for those corner pieces. Of course, the picture on the cover of the box is essential. <br /><br />As Emily pointed out, there is a great spiritual application here. If we have received the gift of salvation that has been provided in Christ and have declared Christ as Lord, then we are His Child. We are in Christ! But, so many forget that this is only the beginning of what God wants to do in our lives. He wants to mold and shape us into the likeness of His Son. If I'm in Christ, then God is still working on me, conform me to His Son. This is our destiny in Christ and what Paul talks about in Romans 8:29... "For those God foreknew He also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of His Son, that He might be the Firstborn among many brothers." <br /><br />Paul goes on to say in other passages...<br /><br />"And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into His likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, Who is the Spirit." 2 Corinthians 3:18<br /><br />"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old is gone, the new has come!" 2 Corinthians 5:17<br /><br />We're not there yet. We must press on and be willing for God to take the hammer and chisel to the un-Christlike areas of our life. For He spoke, and it came to be; He commanded, and it stood firm." Psalm 33:6-10</em><br /><br /><em></em><br />There are many times each day where I am reminded how powerful my words can be. Our words can have positive and negative affects on people, but the word of the Lord expresses power beyond measure. There are no more powerful words than the words of our Lord. If you take time to dwell on this fact, how can you not be humbled by it.<br /><br />Oh what a change that would occur in our lives and in our churches if we lived humble by the majesty of God. A God, Who by the mere breath of His voice can create an entire universe as well as forgive our sin. And one day, at the sound of His voice, this sin-sick world will come to an end.<br /><br />Oh God, we are humbled by your power and majesty.
